A game like Scattergories you can play online
In Scattergories an answer only counts if nobody else wrote it. Icillion is built on the same idea.
What Scattergories is
Scattergories is the party game where a letter is rolled and every player has a short time to write an answer for each category that starts with it. Answers another player also wrote score nothing, so the best ones are those nobody else thought of.
What Scattergories fans will like in Icillion
- The same reward for originality: rarer answers score more, from 10 points on the tip to 100 below the iceberg.
- In Seal Circle every answer can only be said once in a room, so the obvious ones are gone within a turn.
- Words prompts with a rule, like palindromes or words that end in a double letter, in the Words topic.
Where they differ
Scattergories narrows every category with a letter. Icillion prompts are open, but you can add the letter rule yourself: every A–Z list shows how many answers start with each letter.
Letter rounds from the answer lists
Each prompt with a letter that has plenty of answers but isn’t the obvious one. Write as many as you can in a minute, then check the list.

Questions
- Can you play Scattergories online for free?
- Icillion is not Scattergories and is not connected to it, but it rewards the same thing for free: the answer nobody else gave.
- What happens when two players give the same answer?
- In Seal Circle an answer can only be said once in a room, so the second player has to find another.
- Are there prompts about words?
- Yes. The Words topic has prompts with a rule, such as palindromes, words with “ball” in them or words ending in -ology.
If you like other quiz games
- Games like Family Feud: Guess what most people said. Icillion shows those answers, then rewards the rare ones.
- Games like Pointless: The right answer nobody else gave wins. The idea Icillion is built on.
- Games like Kahoot!: A quiz for the whole room with a code. Seal Circle works the same way.
All of them on one page: trivia games like the ones you love. Scattergories is a trademark of its owners; Icillion is not connected to it.
