FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask about the daily trivia iceberg.
- What is Icillion?
- Icillion is a free daily trivia game shaped like an iceberg chart. Everyone plays the same seven prompts each day, and your answers sink as deep as they are rare.
- Is Icillion free?
- Yes. You can play the daily iceberg, the archive and unlimited free play without an account.
- How is the rarity of an answer decided?
- Every prompt has a hand-made list of accepted answers, sorted into five levels from the most common to the rarest. The tiers are editorial, not measured from players yet.
- How many questions are there?
- There are 302 prompts across 9 topics, with 22,545 accepted answers in total.
- What topics can I play?
- Geography, Nature, Food, Science, Computer Science, Chemistry, History, Culture and Screen. Each topic can be played on its own in Free play.
- Why wasn’t my answer accepted?
- It isn’t on the list yet. Capital letters, accents, plurals and small typos don’t matter, but the answer itself has to be one of the accepted ones.
- When does a new iceberg start?
- Every day at midnight UTC.
- What happens if I run out of time?
- The prompt ends with no answer and you stay at the same depth. A wrong guess only costs you 2 seconds.
- What is the legendary answer?
- Each prompt has exactly one legendary answer, the rarest of all, worth 100 points. It takes you to the maximum depth for that prompt.
- Can I play past icebergs?
- Yes. Open Archive in the menu. Archive games don’t change your streak or stats.
- Where is my progress saved?
- Only in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, and Reset progress in Settings deletes it.
- Can I share my result?
- Yes. At the end of a round you can copy your result as text or save it as an image.
How deep does your knowledge go?
Seven prompts a day, twenty seconds each. Obvious answers float on the tip of the iceberg; rare ones sink all the way to the trench.
